Taking the Music Back - Podcast
Fran's powerful, soaring vocals coupled with great guitar work and a super tight rhythm section make Wucan's experiment at turning what was born to be a folk ballad into a rock/disco song a total success. Brilliant!

about
This song started out as a folk ballad for Fran‘s solo project, which, until now, never came to fruition.
Shortly before lockdown she took it to a Wucan rehearsal with the idea to turn it into a disco song. And that‘s what it became.
lyrics
Heretic tongues have lead you astray,
Sailing the clouds, which is the way?
Will you freeze the Hand of time?
You’re just another name the echoes may call.
Trapped inside reason, you made me anyone,
Where’s the companion I have known?
Far and beyond,
Far and beyond I’ll go,
Until we‘ll meet again.
Give yourself into my loving arms,
You’re weary of a journey you’ve already done.
Far and beyond,
Far and beyond I’ll go,
Until we’ll meet again.
Thirsting for a drop the oceans couldn’t feed,
The tears I shed,
What have we become my friend?
The thirteenth winter has now passed by,
Still updating into the skies,
As long as I live,
I’ll keep you in my sight.
Far and beyond,
Far and beyond I’ll go,
Until we’ll meet again.

This just has some great vibes all around - from the energy of 56th Floor and Symphony of the ironic sympathy to the gentle, laid back Soul Keeper - it’s worth the time to listen to it all. potaytoes

This is Ruby the Hatchet's best album so far. Not only are the songs absolutely killer, but it's the first album they've made in which Jillian's vocals aren't buried in the mix. She has an amazing voice, so it's wonderful to be able to finally hear her in full! Jarretr

Phenomenal Sabbath-esque riffing with amazing tones on both bass and guitar, insane drumming and powerful vocals make this band a complete sonic titan! Wolf Moon
